~*THINK PINK!*~

Ladies
Monica has informed me that she has a tremendous amount of lovely goodies to give away in the raffle.
SO- I think that we could be more of a help if we just add our submissions directly to Ebay.

Because this is such short notice, I would like to do this auction in November so that we can drum up some interest and get more people involved with the bidding.
~*100%*~ of the auctions for the THINK PINK charms will be sent to the Susan G Komen foundation.

Please let me know if you can help spread the news and I will post the links when they are up for bidding.

~*Thank you!*~

~*I claim April 28th as "International Charm Day"*~

Wouldn't it be fun to have a special day for wearing and gifting special charms?
It sounds like fun to me, so I am going to make it happen!

What will this day be about?
Maybe giving some of your own handmade charms or ones you've gotten from a swap, to good friends, family and anyone who makes your day to day lives brighter, better or just more fun!
(Examples- postal workers, nurses, teachers, sales girls, waitresses (when leaving a tip), secretaries, children etc.)

Each charm could have a special meaning or feeling behind it.
Or, you could just make a general set and hand them out randomly!

You could add on a tag that mentions they are being gifted a charm on International Charm Day and add in your name or contact info if you feel comfortable enough to do that (for the ones you give to those who are not so familiar.)

It's not just a gift of art but also one of cheer and also inspiration!
Imagine if each person who gets one feels like making more of them to give others?

If you would like to celebrate this day with me and if you blog about your charms I will be posting a little banner tag for everyone to add to their blogs soon.

I claim April 28th as "International Charm Day"

~*More on Ebay!*~

I just got 3 more pieces up on Ebay!

I hope to see some bids go on.

Thank you for hanging in there with me.

I can no longer list each detail by each artist.

It's just too much for me to handle and that has been the big reason for my listing delays!

SO- to get through this faster, I did not name names or detail each charm.

I am hoping that the work will speak for itself!

After a long time of searching I found it!

I was unaware that Ebay had a policy about listing charitable auctions.
Well, after some digging and searching during my free time, I found this link-
CLICK HERE IF YOU ARE ALREADY A SELLER & WISH TO RAISE FUNDS ON EBAY FOR CHARITY

I hope to post a few more of our THINK PINK charm beauties this week, time permitting.

The first listing was sold for $46.00!
That is the necklace/bracelet shown below.
It was purchased from a woman who works in China.
This was my first time shipping there and it was actually quite interesting.
So, for those who's work was used on that piece, you can tell your friends and family, "My art is in China."
I personally get a kick from it because a LOT of what I grew up with was and is made IN China!
*Smiles*

OK, so I am now going back to Ebay to do some more research on listing.
I will keep you all informed!
Have a great week!

Donna Barnitz- A silvery soldered cabachon drop with an image of pink rose beneath.

Erica Faith- A painted and glittered wooden disk, front and back with tiny thread appliques and Swarovski crystal centers.

Amber Dawn- A miniature plastic baby bottle, internally embellished with the same velvety trim used to make the necklace/wrist cuff. Atop the charm is a Chaton Rose with "Micro Beedz" with the words "Wonder", "Mystery" and "Explore" glazed to the front.

Patricia Winter- A miniature crazy quilt, hand stitched, and florally embroidered with her very own beautiful and rich hand dyed silk ribbon. The image she used is a child with lovely glittered fairy, wings. The embellishments in this piece include some of the smallest pink seed beads you might ever see in your life along with an adorable flower sequin. Pat added a small metal charm whic says "Imagine" to the lower right hand side, and that is wired with a pink and red glass flower bead and topped with small seed beads.

Monica Magness- A miniature faux canvas featuring a bare chested diva striking a shy pose. Monica added very small text onto the bottom of this charm with a tiffany set chaton rose rhinestone capping it off. One of the words on this piece is "Imagine". The sides are sparkling with glitter and the piece is glazed nice and shiny!

And-

Michelle Walker- A dazzling holographic pink drop with faceted beads nestled within. When the light hits it, it really shines a lot. Michelle painted the glitter mixture on the larger bead herself.

The body of the necklace is made of a velvety ribbon which has been doubled up so that the back sode which touches the skin is also velvety soft.

There is a length of pink lace trim sewn on for added texture. 2 matching thread appliques are added along with Swarovski crystal center.

There are 22 tiny pink floral sequins mounted onto a deeper pink metallic round faceted sequins sewn along the edge. Each one is topped of with a real silver plated glass faceted bead.
The two silver and pink rhinestone end beads were donated by Orla Swift.

The chain used is not real silver, but is silver tone and a barrel clasp completes the chain.
